There after I asked about the private river area and was informed only at that time that it was closed. She apologized and continued to check us inn. Upon checking in I was asked if I was informed about the COVID restrictions in the hotel. As when I called them directly they did not bother to tell me that everything is closed and only the movie theater was open along with the food court and gift shop. I am very disappointed with the front desk of this hotel. Guests travel so far and spend alot of money to stay there just for the access to the private beach that used to offer docking of boats on the beach. The hotel should've advised all guests of the new changes regarding the beach area. It was very hard to have fun after this point, we were there for 3 days and had to drive to different places to launch. We tried talking to the manager but was told that we had to talk to a director about our complaints and the director never returned our calls.

My dad was so upset because we traveled very far and couldn't do anything about it. We were was so devastated that the hotel never mentioned this very important detail when we booked our stay here. You had to walk around the beach into the rocky water about knee high and find a buoy to fit. And it wasn't until we were getting ready to launch thar we were told by other guests that docking of boats or jet skis were not allowed on the beach anymore!! Instead they had a tiny roped off area that was extremely far from shore and the beach. My dad was skeptical because the boat parking area seemed empty for an open beach. After covid we wanted to vacation at one of our favorite places and so we booked our rooms, my family booked 4 rooms. It's a been a couple years since our last visit until recently.

For those that have watercrafts, that know how much work it is to drive to designated bethaches, wait on line to launch, find a vacant spot to dock, this is very time consuming and exhausting work in 100 degree weather. There cabana offered a paradise effect and we loved that we could just walk to the beach from our rooms and right to our boats and jet skis docked on the beach. It was our favorite vacation spot for our whole nt's, uncle's, cousins, etc. We stayed at the Avi every summer, every 4th of July, Father's Day, Memorial day, Birthdays etc. One of the reasons why we always stuck to Avi was their private beach, the only private beach in Laughlin! That was in my opinion, the best accommodation a river hotel could offer.

My family has had the best memories at this resort for years until recently. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE HOTEL DID NOT ADVISE ME THAT THERE WAS NO DOCKING OF WATERCRAFT ON BEACH.
